Is Dentist code for Devil?

I hate the dentist (sorry grandpa). I don't care who he is or how great he is. I hate 'em. I would rather get my blood taken or have a few shots than get my teeth CLEANED, any day. Don't worry, I have good teeth. Only one filling. I don't know what it is, getting stuff done inside my mouth is just such a vulnerable experience. Scraping your teeth clean is like what others would call "the chalkboard feeling" times a million for me. ANYWAY, Shaun and I had a "couples appointment" to the dentist. Romantic huh? After thinking of many ideas to get out of it, I was dragged there.

I hate sitting in the chair for the full cleaning--going back and forth in my head wondering if I have a cavity. Lately, I've been telling the hygienist that I know she is smarter than people think and she could pretty much tell me if I have one once she takes the X-ray at the beginning of the exam. This time, she just laughed! That could only mean I have a ton and she's waiting for the dentist to break the news right?!

Well long story short, SJ was done before me so he came into my little room to wait for me. The dentist came in looking at my chart and said "lets see here, it looks like you have a low tolerance for pain?" Shaun just bursts out laughing. Even though IT'S TRUE, I did not write that. The hygienist asked me! He waited until the last possible minute to tell me that I was cavity free (HALLELUJAH). But supposedly because of my bite, I am grinding my teeth at night. Dear 16-yr old Nicole, why didn't you listen to your mother when she told you that your bite looks wrong and you are sanding down your teeth? 

SJ & NJ have matching occlusal guards now. Yeah, super attractive.
