Coconut flakes

I love me some July 4th holiday festivities. I think it may be because I grew up in Utah and Utah my friends, does the 4th right! A bunch of my girlfriends were missing their family 4th traditions so we tried our best to coordinate everybody's into the big American day. For the BBQ, my contribution was fruit. Tip: the best addition to your fruit salad when it just needs a little something else, sprinkle coconut flakes on top (thanks Kristine). I thought it was almost too gorgeous to eat.
